The Body Shop Color Crush Lipstick (Color 310 : Crush On Caramel Matte)

I am back after a long long break from blogging..I had something to take care of and working at the same time just didn't leave me time to write reviews..Without further introduction,I am going to share my opinion on TBS Color Crush Lipstick (Crush On Caramel Matte).


The Body Shop launched the Color Crush lipstick recently with 24 different colors.It has different finishing like matte,sparkly,pearlescent  and been a lipstick lover,I told myself that I definitely need to get atleast one color to see how it goes.So I went to TBS and tried few colors before deciding on Color 310.Reason for taking this nude color was because I already had two reds and one pink color.

Description from TBS website :

- High impact color

- Rich moisture

- Has subtle rose scent

Price : SGD 22.90 for 3.50g

Pros :

- Love the way the color appears on my lips(nude)

- Shimmery nude 

- Ease of application plus you have to  scrub lips and moisture it with lip balm before applying)

- Finishing for this is matte which is not a good idea for extreme dry lips(I have dry lips but not extreme and it worked perfectly)

Cons :

- Staying power could have been longer which lasted around 3 to 4 hours on my lips

- Price is on the expensive side

Final Verdict :

I would want to try a pearlescent and sparkly finish from this.I would keep this as extra till my NYX and MAC finishes.

Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser & Conditioner (Mysore Sandal & Vetivier)

Since Forest Essentials derive from natural ingredients and I am a sucker for products with natural ingredients,I ordered this with few others immediately without giving it a second thought.Stay tune to find out if I have a love or hate relationship with this.

My Experience :

The reason why I got this shampoo was because of sandalwood in it.I love anything that has sandalwood as one of the main ingredients in it and I can keep smelling it the whole day as I am totally in love with it.

This cleanser has sandalwood smell it and it really smells nice.I doubt those who hate sandalwood smell will like it as it has a bit too strong of sandalwood smell which only lovers of this can love it.If you use other shampoos which has chemicals in it,the shampoo lathers up because of the chemicals but this shampoo does not lather up at all.I apply this cleanser on alternate days as I have oily scalp.

I am not totally in love with this cleanser and conditioner because it only gives shine to my hair and does not do anything else as prescribed.

In the end,though I loved the sandalwood smell  but it didn't help my oily scalp.

DO NOT APPLY BLUSHER TO THE APPLES OF THE CHEEKS!!!!

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil

Introducing the newly launched Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil.It comes in 16 different colors which varies from brown(should I call it brown or nude) to red to pinkish color and why even a whitish color is available.

The packaging comes in a purple like tube box as shown in the photo and below on the box,the shade will be written on it so always make sure you check the shade inside and out before purchasing it.One thing I like about this is that the color shown is what that actually comes up when applied on the lips.

It is enriched with Jojoba oil,Vitamin E and Cottonseed Oil which ensures a smooth application.

Color 69 UD 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil

I purchased the color 69 as I wanted to match it with my NYX Matte lipstick color. 

I got to say I am a beginner in this and this was my first time applying a lip liner.I was really worried that I won't be able to use it on my lips.While applying,my hands did shiver but somehow I managed to draw the outline of my lips accurately and I even managed to apply the lipstick after this.

If I usually just use my NYX Matter lipstick on my lips even with lip balm,after few hours my lips tends to get dry but when I used it with Urban Decay's Lip Pencil,my lips was thoroughly kept moisturised and hydrated.

I wore this for a party that I attended & I was surprised that it lasted me for around 5hours though it did transfer a bit to the cup when I took a sip.

Price : SGD 34/- (from Sephora Singapore)

PROS :

- Easy to apply

- Does not pull at the lips when applying

- Creamy

- Hydrating & Moisturising

- Lips was not feeling dried at all

CONS :

- Expensive

Final Verdict : Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Pencil color 69 is a definite must have in your vanity pouch.

NYX Jumbo Pencils

NYX was a brand I never knew that existed till I entered into cherryculture website.I saw the Jumbo Pencils and decided to read some reviews about them before buying.It is always best to read reviews before buying.

NYX Jumbo Pencil has 32 amazing colors to chose from though it is tempting to buy all 32 of them,I boughly only two of them : Milky White & Black Bean with the sharperner.

Description :

In my own words,it can be used as eyeliner,eyeshadow or applied to the inner crease to brighten up your eyes or to make it look bigger. 

These pencils are a must have in your makeup for simple outings,office use or smokey effects for parties to glam up.

My Experience :

Milky white is a creamy transparent colors which can be layered up to make your eyes looks fresher and bigger.When applied to eyes,it melts right into your eyes and disappears totally.I have not used them as eyeshadow stand alone so I cannot comment on it as of yet.

If you want your eyeshadow to look more intensified, apply your eyeshadow primer (like UD,Too Faced Insurance) then apply this Milky White then your eyeshadow & most of the colors will show up pretty well.Not only that but for oily lids,the eyeshadow color stays for long time as well..It did work for my oily lids and stayed up for mostly 8hours.

I also used this Milky White as eyeliner.I loved how easily it glided onto my eyes.Only disappointment is that it does not stay as long as expected.It only lasted 1hour on my lids though it did not completely disappear.There will be a before and after photo of this when I use it next time.

As for Black Bean,it is a intensify black color that is great for smokey effects.

LOVE :

• Can be used as eyeliner 
• Layers up pretty well
• 32 colors to chose from

CONS :

• Not long lasting for eyeliner especially oily lid girls

My First Empties

Been a makeup hoarder is not easy as whenever you see a new product coming up & falling head and heels over that product ,you wont be able to resist but to buy it ASAP.I don't usually see if I have finished my old products and buy the new one.

This is my first empties after few years of been a hoarder.

1. Forest Essentials Delicate Cleanser (Saffron & Neem) : This is a real life saver for me.If I will repurchase this again,my answer is a big YES.

    2.  Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser & Conditioner (Mysore Sandal) : Not that good except for shiny

         hair.Won't be trying this again.

    This is a small step to my first empties..I hope my second empties will be much better than this.

Makeup Forever Duo Mat Powder

Today I am going to review about MUFE Duo Mat Powder Foundation.

Description :

The lighting does unjustice to the color of the powder

My review:

In Singapore,we have MUFE in Sephora stores & at the same time their own MUFE shop(my first time trying out the brand).So I went to their own store & the sales lady there was really helpful to patiently chose the shade for me.Took around 40min till I decided which was the correct color for me.

It comes in a black round compact type of pan with a small mirror & sponge.

When I used this,it does give medium coverage & not full coverage.My face looks fresh when using it & keeps my oily skin at bay for around 4hours. After 4 hours,my face especially my T Zone gets so oily that I need to keep blotting my face and by the time I reach home,my full face is  very oily.I would recommend this for people with normal to combination skin & as for oily skin people,it is best to keep away from it.The staying power for this is really good & I am using it mainly because of that.

Final Verdict :

For normal to combination skin girls,go ahead & try it..Sorry oily skin beauties stay away from this..Even I am going to stay away from this & have to find a new powder foundation again.
