NYX Matte Lipstick "Shocking Pink"

Today I will be reviewing about NYX Matte Lipstick in the color of "SHOCKING PINK".

I got this lipstick through cherryculture.com in May 2013 and I am only reviewing it now.I have no idea why I did not review it till now..I could have missed out on this.

Coming to the product,it is a matte lipstick which comes in 22 different colors from red to brown to pink to orange.I choose pink since I don't own one in that shade.

The texture of this is a bit creamy after applying lip balm.I apply it in the morning and by lunch time it is half gone and require touch ups after few hours.I won't say that the staying power is really great(which I found other bloggers to say is really great) and I am pondering where did I go wrong??For me the staying power will be around 4hours to 5hours.I love the color because it is great to wear it for work and party.

As of now,I have one nude from TBS,one pink from cherry cultrue,one red from NYX & one lipgloss from Burts Bees.A caution before I proceed will be that this lipstick is not at all meant for those with severe dry lips even if you apply with lipbalm and for those with dry lips can try using a lipbalm and see how it works out for you..

PROS :

• Will work for those with dry lip(make sure to scrub the lips and use lip liner)
• Many other colors available

CONS : 

• Not many girls will be daring enough to try this color out
• Severe dry lip girls kindly stay away from this
• Don't find it to be moisturising

LUSH CELEBRATE BODY LOTION REVIEW

Where I got it :

Sister bought it for my birthday from Lush Singapore store. Price is SGD 43 per 225g

What I got : 

Lush Celebrate Body Lotion of 225g.

What Lush says about this :

It is the perfect lotion to put on before the festive mood begins.Cocoa butter and almond oil will replenish and moisturize the skin.It is full of fragrance, rich and creamy.This is one of our first preservatives free lotions. 

What is my thought :

I love the smell of the lotion which has citrus smell in it.The creamy texture and the way it gets absorbed into my skin once I apply it onto my hands and body is really smooth though it can get bit greasy if you apply way too much.

I am not so bothered about the greasy part because I am so in love with this product and the smell does linger around for quite a long time..Imagine applying this in the morning and by the time you come back home,you still can smell this on your hand..One last thing before the sad part,this tub should last you for 4 months unless you are someone who uses a lot daily.As for me,I have been used it since November 2013 & now it is December 16th and it has not even reached half the tube yet.

Only sad thing is I am not sure if they will be keeping this limited edition product.

LUSH Volcano Foot Mask

I knew there was face mask but never knew that foot mask..I know some of you will be gasping that where on earth are you living and you don't know the existence of the foot mask?I seriously did not know at all but once I got to know about it,you could say I was in luck.I did not get it by my own but my sister asked me what I wanted to for my birthday and I told that I want LUSH Volcano Foot Mask.She said fine and in the end she got me the Foot Mask and a Body Lotion.Continue reading to see if I like it or not.

How to use it :

Slather on our thick kaolin and pumice Volcano Foot Mask to draw out the impurities and dirt from our feet and remove rough skin.After ten minutes,scrub off the foot mask for a baby like soft skin feet.

My Feet Experience :

I am someone who used to wear a lot of strap slippers and sometimes I do wear flats too..Because of this,my feet skin had this dark mark of the strap left on my right feet.Ontop of that,I have cracked heels on both my feet and no matter what products I tried did not seem to help to improve my cracked heels.

This is how my feet looked like before applying the mask

How I used it will be I take certain amount of mask onto my hands and apply to my feet.

After which I tie using a plastic bag to my leg and rest for around 20 minutes though it did say 10 minutes.While waiting for the time to be up,I could feel that burning sensation plus the feet been cleaned up from dirt.

After which I go to the bathroom,remove the plastic bag and start to rub the mask off with water running under the tap.While rubbing the foot mask,I could see dirt coming out from my feet and my feet becoming a lot brighter than before.After that,apply foot lotion or like how I did was to use Johnson & Johnson Baby Lotion to moisturise my feet.

See this photo to believe it.I can guarantee you that there is no gimmick or anything to it.

PROS:

• Made up of mostly natural ingredients(my number one favourite)
• Cleared off most of my feet mark within the first use
• Soften the skin
• Finished my tube and brightened up my feet a lot

CONS :

• Have to finish it within a month

Final Verdict :

I will definitely repurchase it.As I am drafting this blog,I just finished it around 2hrs back.I am waiting for my next outing on Saturday to get that plus a foot lotion again.

Another thing is that LUSH has written on the tub is use 5 tubs or tubes and exchange it for a fresh face mask for free.I am done with this one and I will be getting the next one plus I have a body lotion tub to finish..

The Body Shop Color Crush Lipstick (Color 310 : Crush On Caramel Matte)

I am back after a long long break from blogging..I had something to take care of and working at the same time just didn't leave me time to write reviews..Without further introduction,I am going to share my opinion on TBS Color Crush Lipstick (Crush On Caramel Matte).


The Body Shop launched the Color Crush lipstick recently with 24 different colors.It has different finishing like matte,sparkly,pearlescent  and been a lipstick lover,I told myself that I definitely need to get atleast one color to see how it goes.So I went to TBS and tried few colors before deciding on Color 310.Reason for taking this nude color was because I already had two reds and one pink color.

Description from TBS website :

- High impact color

- Rich moisture

- Has subtle rose scent

Price : SGD 22.90 for 3.50g

Pros :

- Love the way the color appears on my lips(nude)

- Shimmery nude 

- Ease of application plus you have to  scrub lips and moisture it with lip balm before applying)

- Finishing for this is matte which is not a good idea for extreme dry lips(I have dry lips but not extreme and it worked perfectly)

Cons :

- Staying power could have been longer which lasted around 3 to 4 hours on my lips

- Price is on the expensive side

Final Verdict :

I would want to try a pearlescent and sparkly finish from this.I would keep this as extra till my NYX and MAC finishes.
